HB 5448 is based on the Giffords and Bloomberg red flag system, it allows people, including ex-girlfriends or ex-boyfriends to file for a risk warrant without a non-bias third party. Keep Connecticut’s requirement that a petition must be filed by two law enforcement officers, and they must conduct a non-bias investigation.
